Still No Change !
One of the key principles in any business is marketing. Selling and promoting your business is vital in these ultra competitive times. That of course includes keeping your social media and company website up to date and to display all the correct information. You never get a second chance to make a first impression ?
Call us picky, but after 330 days, you’d think that the Hamptons management team could manage the 4 minute job of updating their social media info. With the Covid shutdowns, they can hardly claim they’ve been too busy. But they seem to have time to create a post every time someone donates a few bags of rice to their over publicised “food bank”.
Let’s look at Facebook (our comments are in blue and red). This is from the “about” section on the Hamptons Sports And Leisure Ltd page.
The club website is even worse ! Have a look here. A number of pages still mention the licenced bars (closed in Feb 2020) , the inhouse caterers (who quit the club in June 2020), and on display is a weekly timetable of events which is from probably from 2019.
Setting up a website these days is quite cheap and fast, so why have they not done it ? To us, this further illustrates to us that the club owners really don’t have a clue. Or are we being too generous, and could the lack of accurate information be an attempt to conceal what’s really going on at the club !
some points to consider
Why are the Chelmsford Muslim Society so reluctant to discuss their plans in public ? They are happy to communicate with the council (behind closed doors), but not residents or club members.
If we hadn’t obtained documents using the Freedom of Information Act, how much of this situation would be in the public domain ? Would you trust your ward councillors to “keep you in the loop” ?
